Thanks, Jim Carrey!

It's always great to sit down and enjoy a movie with the wife and step-daughters - only to discover along the way that the story's conclusion is basically that mom gets back together with the bio-dad.  So, thank you, Jim Carrey, for bringing us both "Liar Liar" and "Mr. Popper's Penguins" (and thank you, kids, for not asking any uncomfortable questions afterwards on both occasions).

Are there any good family flicks out there where the step-dad manages to come out ok in the end?  A Google search of "stepdad movies" yielded some pretty depressing results - the first result was a 2009 psycho-killer flick called "The Stepfather", and lets just say the results went downhill and directly into the gutter from there.

"Job Creation"

So, hey, why is everyone on Obama and Romney's cases about their records on job creation?  I don't know about how they do things in Massachusetts, but last I checked the creation of jobs and management of the economy wasn't one of the enumerated powers of the federal executive office.  Isn't that a bit like citing a schoolteacher for their poor record on prosecuting violent felons or closing potholes?  Where is it in the job description?

Hey...

Whoa!  It's-a BLOG!
